Let’s see…it’s now the evening of day two and I’m just getting around to posting yesterday afternoon. I need to be better about this. Never mind that I am writing on a tablet, with a bluetooth keyboard that is far too small for my fingers. Please excuse typos.
So, yesterday’s PM walkabout started with a stop at Biserica Domniţa Bălaşa, a beautiful gem hidden behind the concrete edifices of Ceaușescu’s vision of creating a Bucharest in the style of North Korea and China.
Here is a view of this beautiful church which shows the giant concrete edifices that it is hidden behind. I didn’t even know that it was there last year.
There was a wedding happening, so I couldn’t go inside, but I’ll return. Walkabout continues…
A random shot of random people…
…and random thoughts…
and random sights…
More walking…
Walkabout continues…a lot of random thoughts and feelings…
I said earlier that you must look up and down to see all the beauty. I was glad I was looking down at this moment…
Then, time for a couple cold drinks and some requested photos…
And the requested shots…
Then back to my hotel for some writing…oh, and a Ciuc…
Back in my hotel room, I was *supposed* to go see this at 10 pm. I thought I would take a short nap and go. I woke up this morning.
Very cool. This would have been fun for me to do on my recent trip.
