Day 2 PM Walkabout, pt.1 and Curtea Veche

The pm walkabout starts with a walk om Strada Franceza to Calea Victoriei, then up to Strada Lipscani, and a stop at Cărturești Carusel, which was on my list of things to see. I browsed a little bit and had a Sikaru IPA by Ninkasi Srl in the bistro on the top floor.  On my out, this book “Don’t forget to sing in the lifeboats” caught my eye and I bought it.

A short walk after that, I stumbled into Piata Romana, with some beautiful street art and a view of Biserica Bărăția…which was not on my list. Again, I was sorry that I did not feel that I had the time to cross the street and visit in person. It’s on my list for the next visit.

On the walk again I stopped to take some photos of what I saw and that caught my eye along the way….a beautiful wall, a look down the Strada to Gradina Eden (Eden Gardens) and another Strada which slips my mind.

More walking and photo taking….
and I came up to the Geo Bar, which reminded me immediately of a friend,
and I told him so…

And then back towards my hotel, with a stop at the  Curtea Veche, (the Old Princely Court), built as a palace or residence during the rule of Vlad III, Dracula, in 1459 in the historic centre of Bucharest, Romania.
If you want to know more about the Dracula story ask me…

The arrows show direction, the circles show approximate photo locations.
