Day 1, part 3 – Brașov

After leaving Bran, and the memories of the previous post, another short drive through the beautiful mountains to the city of Brașov, Transylvania, Romania.

It’s a beautiful little town, with narrow streets lined with terrific old buildings and a wonderful little town center, the Piața Sfatului. This day there was an arts and crafts fair of local Transylvanian artisans and craftspersons, along with some traditional live music. I was able to pick up a couple small gifts, and wished I had more time to venture further.

Dominating the Piața Sfatului is the Muzeul Județean de Istorie, Brașov, the Brasov County History Museum, which I really wish I had more time to explore.

Just down the street a bit is the Biserica Neagră, the Black Church, which again I wished I had more time to explore.

Then back to the town square, taking photos along the way…

I want to go back.
